i mean, i watch this big, black woman on youtube sing with this incredible voice and all i think is sadness cause i feel like she abuses her kids.

Breastfeeding in Bathrooms...

the natick, ma assemble hall used to have it's own room for breastfeeding mothers.

they changed this room to the accounting room or something like that and now have seats available for breastfeeding inside the bathroom.. there is one other small room available for breastfeeding but they close that off when the baptism is going on.

needless to say, i used to get so pissed off that they actually wanted me to breastfeed in the bathroom that i would threaten to a brother that i would take my boob out in front of everybody and that is there problem because breastfeeding in a bathroom is unsanitary.. one year they put me in some backroom.

Roberts Stadium in Evansville, IN had curtains hung around to make a "mother's room" Absolutely no real privacy as everyone in attendance was constantly traipsing past. Plus, no sink available to wash up and nothing but plain metal folding chairs. Miserable.

The Pit of Despair, or going to the DC

so our dc is coming up and my level of anxiety and depression is through the roof.

i've been fading and have noticed that when i don't go the meetings, i'm happy, calm and positive, but when i do go, it takes at least a week to recover.

so the prospect of three straight days has me in an absolute panic.

I have found that the quickest way to get sent home from a place is to vomit all over whoever's in charge. Wait until you are nearly at the convention site, then blow chunks all over your dear husband. Bonus points if you don't get any on yourself. I guarantee he won't make the session until after he has a shower and a change of clothes. Double bonus points if you "forget" to pack him an extra suit. I'm not even joking about this - being able to vomit on command is a very useful talent.

please pm me if you or someone you know attended the evansville, in district convention over this past weekend (june 21-23, 2013).. the key talk of the convention was given friday afternoon and our recording of the friday afternoon session was accidentally recorded over.. getting a recording of this talk would be very, very helpful to many on this board..

Neither Just Ron or I attended any of the sessions in Evansville this year. We don't have any family members in the borg and we haven't maintained friendly relations with any of the local dubs. If by chance we come into possession of anything even remotely interesting we will post it here immediately.

it's two generations overlapping.. what is the definition of the individual generations then?

the original generation changed from those who saw and could understand the events of 1914 to those who were born in 1914.. so let's be generous and say it was those born in 1914 and give them a lifespan of 80 years (1994).

there has been some renewed interest in the meaning of the name jehovah on the forum in recent weeks.

combined with the ongoing discussion about the new "overlapping generation" teaching, speculation among the friends and among the ex-friends has been reaching something of a frenzy.

so it's perhaps appropriate that a little more should be revealed now about the meaning behind some of the perplexing events that have been taking place.

Too sick or injured but still made it to the meeting!

i once attended a two day special assembly with my gums bleeding after having 4 widom teeth pulled the day before.

i managed the two days by rinsing out my mouth all day long and placing cotton in my mouth.. one brother had back surgery the week before but attended a two day assembly by laying on a matress in the back of the assembly hall.

why he needed to be there i'll never understand!.

in 2007, i fell down my front steps on my way to the car to go to memorial. i was scraped and bleeding all over, ruined my dress, and i was 6months pregnant. instead of going to the er, i changed my clothes and wrapped gauze on my injuries and made it to the hall just as the meeting was starting. i was still crying from the pain but my butt was in my seat. STUPID
